  • 2013 Club Championship

Right, the loss sucked, but like hell am i going to be drawn into negativity after a season we have had....

So here is some Great news and something that should get more publicity than just an article on a website !!!

    http://www.roosters.com.au/news-disp...pionship/83425

With two games remaining in the 2013 NRL season, the Sydney Roosters have today wrapped up the 2013 Club Championship after the Holden Cup side recorded a 34-20 win over the Gold Coast Titans.
With the Under 20s securing a Top 4 finish with the win and the NRL squad a chance to take out the Minor Premiership next Friday night against the Rabbitohs, despite this afternoon's result against the Titans, Chief Commercial Officer - Football Brian Canavan spoke proudly of the achievement to Roosters.com.au
"Internally, it's the best club award you can receive and reflects that you have talented players, coaches and great programs in place."

"Additionally, it helps consolidate your future and we're extremely proud to have taken out the prize in 2013."
Canavan was also high in praise for the two men leading the Clubs sides in 2013, Trent Robinson and Paul Green.
"Robbo and Greeny must be given credit as the two respective coaches of the teams involved in this award and their diligence and perseverance throughout 2013 has been second to none."
With three games remaining (2 x NRL, 1 x NYC) the Roosters sit on 74 Club Championship points.
We still have one game to play, we are still in it for the Minor Premiership and we are well in it for the Premiership !!!

Indeed it'll go with our J.J. Gillitan shield next week and our GF trophy 4 weeks later.

it is a Big thing Roosterguy, but something that basically goes unnoticed.

no it is not a grandfinal win,

No it's not a Minor Premiership

What it is though is an achievement that we can say, "Yes, We have been consistently successful across the whole club for the whole year"

i think that is what we need to understand in light of the past 2 games.

Its an achievement as a club. Sure. However we all know there is only one title that genuinely means anything.

Awesome effort, love watching the 20's play but not sure they should earn the same points as first grade.

back in the day they would multiply 3rd grade points by 1, reserves by 2 and 1st grade by 3. spot on ahhhhhhh miss the sports ground!!!!!
