strange game. morts played short minutes, our bench was weak and generally our forwards made no meters meaning we didnt put the same amount of attacking kicks in due to lack of field position. low completion rate, more missed tackles than usual and we had no direction and just one out running trying to get fast play the balls expecting that to be enough to win. we are not adapting our play to the game. we seem to be losing our mojo. other than the second halves against the sharks, para, tigers and penrith all of whom were terrible, since the sharks game we have really been poor and today was the worst we have played all year. i hope robbo can get inside their heads!!!

Could it be that the team is getting flogged thru the week in training to hardened up for semis. Storm, Souths, dogs all looked tired this week just like we were.

i think there has been an element of the team and many of us getting ahead of ourselves over the last month.

Even from about 5 weeks ago the final round game against Souths and the minor premiership became the focus and unfortunately we tripped over ourselves particularly in the first halves of pretty much every game in that period leading up to this game.

i thought it started in the Tigers game where things came a bit easy early and the first signs of it will happen as a matter of course started to appear.

Trent had done a good job keeping them focussed on the week by week approach of winning each half of the game and in turn the season. i am surely he is acutely aware of the problem and will work through it with the players before this week.

The boys need to have that intensity of focus from the warmup to the fulltime siren, they cant go out and get a feel for the game in the first 10 minutes unless they want to be chasing from behind and none of the top four sides will let them back in the game.

Are we good enough to beat Souths yes.

Can we win the minor premiership and the grand final yes.

I have not lost my confidence relating to this.

They have clearly demonstated that through the season, they just need to understand the hardwork that they have put in for so much of the season has to be put in at that intensity for a handful of hours from here on in for what will be a life defining year for these players.

I think there's a bit of repetitive strain injury troubles at the Roosters.

As Fatty used to say in the ARL 96 PC game (where ironically there was a player called Rory Kostjasyn years before he started playing), "two hands on that joystick please."

Mort's minutes- wouldn't have made a difference how long he played for. he wasn't any better than jake. Our dummy half work wasn't that bad yesterday tbh.

Our bench and forwards made less metres partly due to the fact that there was no value for possesion in our team. We could have easily beaten the titans had we held onto the ball and stopped pushing passes/offloads when we're in our own half of the field.

Missed tackles - we seriously miss cordner's work in the middle of the field. FPN IS USELESS TO OUR TEAM AND HAS NO WORKRATE. He is a replacement bench frontrower at best. I wouldn't mind moving napa to lock. He can play long minutes. Another option would be moving JWH to lock and having him play long minutes.

Our attack- again we tried to push things too hard. We needed to play more direct and then shift the ball out wide. Watching the game, on many occasions we had huge numbers against them out wide but no sense of urgency to get the ball to our outside men when it mattered.

We will lift for next week's big one. Games like yesterday's are always hard to get enthusiastic about.

any news on when (or if) Cordner will be returning?

Farrk that was a sweet game.

It got too easy in the end though, just draw and pass until it got to Wishart and nobody could catch him.

I played it like a bandit for 2 years and could never get the bomb from Freddy to Jack Elsegood right.

The chooks were shite in that game so I just played internationals.

Some of Fatty's little commentaries were gold.
