Who do you want to play in wk1 ?

So who do most people prefer to play in week 1 of the semis ?

We'll have a home semi and two bites of the cherry, but who would you prefer to play ?
We haven't yet beaten Melb and the Vermin .... who we'll get a shot at in the last round.
We have beaten Manly twice this year so they may be the obvious choice, but they seem to have run into some form now with six wins in a row and getting players back, so will this change some people's mind ?

I think Melb would be the hardest to come up against ...probably would plug for Manly !

However I prefer we play the Vermin......assuming we finish first

Yes, they are my danger team now. Who cares if we've beaten them 3 times this year including the trials. Finals footy is another ball game all together and I believe Trent will not have to remind the team of this. We are lucky some of our boys have 2010 GF experience now under their belts and this will only make them stronger. Jimmy too from 2011, so it's up to these guys to provide guidance and cool heads to the younger players. We as fans can get carried away with excitement and behave like lunatics though...

I agree, Manly are the biggest danger. We have beaten them twice this year, but I think they would have learned a lot from those losses and will be much harder to beat next time. They have hit better form too and the Stewart boys are starting to fire and they play a very good brand of semi final football.

Manly scare me more then any other team. After them, Souths, then Melbourne. Think we can beat Melbourne in a big game. The other team that I am becoming concerned about is the Cowboys. They are finally starting to hit form and if the get on a roll they could be very hard to stop. They have a huge pack, fast backs and of course Mr Thurston as the cherry on top.

No other way to win a GF. A Bunnies/Roosters GF would s*ck because it would all be about Russ ringing his bloody million dollar bell and bribing the reffs.

Any other round we'll be allowed to beat them and they'll be allowed to choke.

Manly. Their good run of form is an illusion of sorts. Over the past 6 weeks they have played Parramatta twice, the Tigers, the Cowboys, the Warriors and the Titans. All of them were bottom 8 teams.

Melbourne and Souths are good teams, and yes, we will need to beat them to win the comp, but I would much rather we play them in the grand final qualifier/grand final, than in the first week.

currently we would play melbourne but with manly losing theres a chance we might get to play them, id prefer that as weve shown weve got their measure this year!my real concern is the influence on the game from refs, it was too obvious that 1 ref favoured souffs tonight!
