The whole notion of "peaking too early" is an odd one.

It suggests that winning 7 games in a row is a bad thing and we'd be better off if we lost a couple of games here and there instead.

So really it's just a psychological phenomenon.

Come finals time does anyone really think a loss to the Sharks in two weeks would be the loss "we had to have"?

It's negative thinking and I doubt Robbo buys into it as he has complete mastery overt the mental side of the game imo.

Our best performance of the season was a few weeks ago against the Sharks and I see no reason why we can't reproduce that form when it matters.

Apart from injuries, the biggest threat is and will remain the historically unprecedented sabotage campaign against Easts by the referees. This needs to be called for what it is - a blatant unfair handicapping if our chances with relentless unjustified lopsided penalty counts in most every game we compete in, together with one sided refereeing of the play the ball speed, allowing teams playing us to get an almost unstoppable roll upfield. NRL need to be named and shamed.

And I need to be heavily sedated for when we come up against Melbourne and Souths again in the finals..seriously though, you know it's bad when friends, relatives and even ABC commentators who have no allegiance or love for the Roosters can see what's been happening over the years..

i dont buy into the peaking too early thing either.

i do buy into the having a fully fit team and no suspensions, taking u a long way though.

Don't think its so much peaking to early, rather the inability to play at the high intensity of the NRL every week.

                One hundred per cent.

Manly and The Storm are timing their charge a lot better than Souths and us.

                  Manly aren't timing anything.

Their draw over the past 6 weeks has been Eels, Cowboys with no Origin players, Titans, Tigers, Eels and Warriors.

They haven't proven anything other than that they're clearly a rung below us and Souffs.

I'm not worried about them ... it's the Storm and Rabbits who have now overtaken us with Cords out.

                      I don't know about that.

                      Let's see what happens.

Having lost Fairfax earlier in the year and, more recently, Mark Harris, we have no chance of winning the 1975 Grand Final.

I'm just looking at the pennant I was given on Saturday and I have real concerns too..For instance, Glebe haven't even formed their new club and it appears we've beaten them already...

I just think after years of disappointment, we are expecting the worst. Myself included. I think it wouldn't be the worst thing to drop a game before the finals. Just not against the Tigers, Titans (last home game) or Souths.

                                Too right I'm scared.

I'm scared of seeing us lose another Grand Final.

                                Watching four is plenty.

I'm keeping my expectations well and truly in check.
