  • the team was always going to win tonight

Allowing for the lopsided penalty count and being down on troops, I always thought that they had Canberra's measure. If they were guilty of anything it looked like they just wanted to finish the game and get back in the dressing room. With SBW and LOD back next week we should wipe the floor with the Tigers next week. I'd say we've wrapped up the MP tonight which will no doubt destroy the souffs fans, they thought they had it in the bag so it's all good.

    Yes good call Ray.

I need to snap out of the gloom, we aren't a machine and were due for a dusty performance I guess.

We have some great times ahead.

Too right, cant be at your best every week. We were down on troops, played well below our best & got smashed in the penalties as usual, yet despite this we never really looked like we would lose, even if it was a bit close at the end.

This was our loss, and we still get the two points. I saw a few things we can work on though.

Good call, couldn't agree more. We'll benefit more from this game than the doomsayers can see. My only hope is that Cordner gets to play again this year, he deserves it.

Ugly wins are better than pretty losses.

It sucks about Cords but if he needs to get better for next year, so be it.

We are not Souths, a one or two man team.

For those old enough to recall, Easts went on to win the 75 GF despite losing both Russell Fairfax and Mark Harris to broken legs. Boyd is awesome, but to say we are gone without him is rubbish. The referees will have a bigger impact than the loss of any one player.

Is Cordner definatly out for the season? last I heard this morning He's going for scans for a potential season ending ankle injury.

Even if not season-ending, it will be 6 weeks minimum.

We've had a good run with injuries, this year; but unfortunately we're getting them at the wrong end of the season. This, coupled with the referee/penalty situation leaves me feeling like it can't be done. To win premierships you need just about everything to go right. Sadly, I see yet another Manly-Melbourne grand final. Ho hum.

Not sure which game you were watching last night, Raiders had us on the ropes, thank our lucky stars for the knock on dying stages.
More to play for than MP, round 26 will show where we stand.

souffs cretins like the one above are really worried, they won't make the gf. It will be us vs either Manly or Melbourne.
