  • Penalty Record Within Reach!

Well, with the 10-6 penalty caning tonight, we have now received 50 less penalties than we have conceded. This equals the whole season record differential of -50 in our 2009 Wooden Spoon year.

But wait... it gets better! We are currently have about the third or fourth worst penalty differential since records for this sort of thing started in 1980. We have a few games to go and we are within a few penalties of the all time worst penalty differential of -61.

Come on boys (Badger, Cummins and your mates)! You can do it!

I think it is well known that I am of the opinion that there is no 'refs are out to get us' shebang going on.

I have, however, been of the belief that Badger IS a crook, and I have thought this since the absolute shocker he had against the bulldogs in 2010. He, and to a lesser extent, Jared Maxwell, are crooks, and should have their refereeing performances looked into.

But to say every single referee is against us is ludicrous.

I agree. At least half of them are just incompetent.

This post reminds me of an old Monty Python segment, with Graham Chapman in a Navy Officer Uniform, saying,

"I wish to object strongly to the suggestion that cannibalism is widespread in the royal Navy. On the contrary, it is well known that we now have the problem relatively under control"

I can't be sure, but I think he means that any corruption in refereeing - even if it is, as you say, just one referee - is enough to make the whole NRL a joke. Like having a small amount of cannibalism not being a problem.

What do you think of "Are You Being Served?"

You only need one white crow to prove that not all crows are black.

didn't like that either. the only british sitcom I remotely enjoyed was faulty towers, but even then, if something better was on, I would watch that. or just do something else entirely.

British (and Irish) comedy rules. Blackadder and Father Ted are my faves.
