I'd rest Cords, for a week, and bring the G-Unit Guerra into the side, but as Mini is out, G-Unit will already be in the side, maybe Arona.
I'd rest BBQ King and play Morts at 6
If they have niggling injuries then yes. But maloney had a shocker against sharks, then a blinder v panthers. I dont think fitness was the problem there.
Resting players just cause, is a bad idea in my book. Ask the aussie cricketers!
Once SBW is back cords can have a rest. Not a bad idea coming into finals. Def think junior Jenko and Maloney could do with time off training but as for skipping games probably not a good idea as they all seem to be hitting form. However if all goes to plan the team will get a week off during the finals
I think if we have wrapped up the minor premiership going into the last round, we should rest anyone with injury. No use risking injury with a game that might not mean too much. If it comes to this of course.
I agree with resting players, definitely toward the end of the season.
I would rest the following players in the coming few weeks;
- Cordner (has been carrying an injury all season, also played origin)
- SBW (forced to be rested due to suspension, this works well for us)
- Pearce & Maloney (Mortimer is a good replacement to use if we rest these guys)
- JWH (if he needs it - he is our strike weapon and we need him fully fit for finals footy)
Robinson has already said he doesnt plan on resting players from matches but does plan on giving them rests from training if needed. I'm sure if Pearce, Maloney and Cordner were in desperate need for a rest they probably wouldn't have played 80 minutes vs Penrith (and a quality 80 minutes as well)

the last round of the regular year is an important game because you don't wont to go into the finals with a loss and out of form
was born a sydney roosters fanatic

Back in the good ol days, when the finals were made up of the top 5, if you lost the last game of the season it meant you had no chance of winning the comp. Weird, I know, but that was just one strange stat for the time.
Funny what this old noggin remembers.
