  • Mini to miss the next few weeks with 'knee injury'

    Zac Bailey ‏@ZacBaileyFOX 23m
BREAKING: Big blow for Roosters with skipper Anthony Minichiello to be sidelined for a few weeks with a knee injury. Scans later today #NRL
Well it looks like we'll finally get an extended look at RTS. I'm excited to say the least. Hopefully Mini can get right, recharge the batteries and be strong for the run home!

Funny that this is the first anyone has heard of it. I honestly think its a bit of a facade. A welcome one though!

Actually no, that was the reason why he was taken off early last week. He hyper extended his knee in the first 3 minutes of the match in the leadup to the panthers only try. He stated that after the game too

Excited we'll see RTS at fullback for the game

Fair enough. Think he would be playing if it was the Finals though.

Be interesting to see who Robbo picks as fill-in captain.

Guess that's the beauty of having so much depth.

Next few games with him at FB will definitely be fun. Sheck will be trending by the end of the Raiders game!

It's a blessing in disguise because RTS can get some mileage and experience playing fullback in low pressure games. Who knows how Mini will pull up post injury.
Always good to have a versed back up.

Will be interesting to see how TRobbo uses Sheck in attack i.e running off Maloney/Pearce inside passes ala Brett Stewart, Barba & Slater.

Henare Wells had another blinder on the weekend. TRobbo probably wouldn't risk blooding him around this time of the year but he deserves the call-up for peforming consistently well.

We have exceeded our cap, highly doubt we are allowed to bring in a new player

with our second tier cap exhausted and oldfield and moga injured , I would say SKD to the wing, Maubs to Centre, Guerra to 2nd row and Napa on the bench.
