      it would be good.

The Grounded attitude and leadership he has shown in this season is immeasurable to the Eels, he has basically lead them to the finals.

The chances for Hayne to leave the Eels are VERY VERY slim. He knows that the eels have stood by him, especially at the begining of the 2008 season when he had off field trouble.

If any club wants to take hayne away from the Eels, they will need to offer him 1) alot of money 2) a Long term contract and 3) the club captancy.

as the article stated, we would need to offload alot of fringe players to afford hayne.

Then again, he is off contract with the eels at the end of 2010, we have a couple of big names coming off contract at the end of 2010 (mason, Mini)..........i guess there could be a posibility there.

I don't know why but i have a feeling if he does sign he will just laugh all the way to the bank like Mason...

Parra will snap up Hayne with a 3 +3 option - effectively 6 years. We dont have a chance.

We could dream but he ain't leaving Parra. Beavis is a top operator and will extract every penny from parra before announcing he is staying

The main thing in our favour is that Wayne Beavis is a rooster.

Meh why would we pay him $500 000 a season? What a waste!

Dragons showed it this season (okay they choked... but minor premiers still...) you need depth, not 1 or 2 $500 000 players who are expected to win every game for you.

You also win by making people worth that much through your training (rather than buying them) in my belief... that way you don't pay as much for them (particularly in the 1st season they begin to fire) and possibly get a bit of loyalty.

Ther's NO WAY Hayne would want to play under Smith again. Smith held him back in 2006 despite alot of calls for him to play 1st grade.
Hayne got his start in 1st grade when Jason Taylor took over as caretaker coach due to Smith being axed.

In saying that, hayne has even come out nd stated that he was not ready for firstgrade at that time.

I guess when you have a life changing experience, the desicions of the past become clearer.

Sometimes you realise that people that are older and wiser make the desicions that are right.

Because the telegraph says so, this will happen.

Hayne will not leave Parra and Jennings will not be leaving Penrith.

That article is a load of bull.

No where did it state a Roosters official saying they may or may not offer a 500,000 contract.

As far as it reads is O'sullivan stating interest. The reporter then went ahead and plucked a number and slapped it on an article.

Then you get the sheep drooling off every word of the telegraph without even properly reading claiming we want to buy a premiership.
