Injury or changing of te guard?

  • #2
Two second row players on the bench is not idea against a large forward pack. It was the correct decision.

Gee I thought Liu was strong today. Most involved he has been yet. Will only get better too

Needed bigger bodies on the bench.

his role has changed dramatically imo. Last year he was a edge fringe player. Now his more of a up the middle/decoy player.

Worthless is questionable , role change has seen him close down the middle in defence instead of skirting the fringes. Heaps of one on one tough stuff in D, which has been working as the number of shutouts the team has accumulated is evidence. Last week against Sharks highest tackle count and over 120 running Metres - adapting to new Structure more likely.

He had his best game for us in a while last week vs the Sharks.

He's a good player. At the very least solid depth should there be an injury or suspension (SBW).

I know we have Aidan locked up until the end of 2015 but geez it's going to be tough to keep him if another club comes along and offers him a permanent first grade position for next season, I just don't see him ever being picked ahead of SBW, Cordner, Maubs and FPN which means he'll be sitting around waiting for an injury to get a crack which just isn't right when teams like Parramatta, Wests etc would start him week in, week out.

He looked fine during the warm up. Then he was climbing seats up in the away supporters bay with ease. I had the feeling that we just needed Lui's size.

And Isaac's impressive off loading ability to initiate 2nd phz play.

As did I. He gave away a beautiful offload to set up the Moa try. Strong metres off the bench and bent the Newcastle line backwards everytime he made a hitup. No stupid penalties either. No one mentioned this bloke at the start of the year as being a possibility to play this year, but he has been a very good find.
                          Comment of the year:

Andrew Johns, Semi-Final vs North Queensland ,

"It's touched Lui's hand and travelled forward but that's not a knock on"

Brainiac also had Maubs cleaning the dunnies at central station from memory.
