  • Summary of the teams thus far...

    With teams now bolstering for the run into the finals I thought I would summarise my thoughts on the teams so far in the season and who I think we (the Roosters need to be worried about most);

1Rabbitohs: Even tho we love to hate them the Rabbits have a huge/well performing forward pack and have had their best season in decades. Inglis is the key man, with him they will go to the GF, without him I think they will whimper out of contention. I would love to see us beat the Rabbits in the GF with Inglis there, but without him I think our job may be much easier.

2Roosters: Playing great football as well all know. If we go into the finals with no injuries we should play deep into the finals and hopefully go all the way. Pearce and Maloney need to step up against the Rabbits and Storm if we are going to go all the way this season (these are the only two teams who currently can challenge us).

3Storm: Will Origin have an affect on the Storm? Only time will tell. If Slater, Cronk and Smith are in form come finals time they will be in there at the end. However they have lost their mojo slightly at the present.

4Sea Eagles: They have been largely affected by injuries throughout the year. But they are reliable performers at the end of each season. I think they will be there but doubt they can topple the Roosters, Rabbits and Storm for the premiership.

5Knights: Dads army are going excellent at the present and are even suprising themselves. I think this will be short lived and doubt that with the roster they have they will have an impact during finals football.

6Bulldogs: Danger, danger danger. From sixth place the Bulldogs are a very scary prospect. Like Manly they have had many injuries so far this season, but if they find form come finals time they will be able to compete with the top teams. I think they are the dark horse.

7Sharks: Solid season so far considering the crap they have been going through. They are a tough team but dont have the attacking ability to be there come semis and grand final day.

8Raiders: Again will be the young side playing well at finals time, but as in the past few seasons they will get knocked out in weeks 1 or 2 of the finals.

9Panthers: Most Improved Award would go to the Panthers. With the roster they have they are doing wonders. I dont expect them to compete against the top sides, but credit should be given to the coaching staff at Penrith.

10Titans: Playing very inconsistent. Also hurt with injuries and a poor playing roster.

11Warriors: Shaun Johnson is the new Benji Marshall, Mr Unpredictable. The warriors had a terrible start to the year, but as with previous seasons they are capable of surprising everyone.

12Broncos: Its lovely to see the once consistent Broncos down so low on the ladder. The Broncos cant score points! With Ben Barba or Cam Smith there next year they will be looking forward to 2014.

14Dragons: Poor season due to a poor roster. The dragons were never going to be competitive, however signing Dugan is giving them some spark!

15Wests Tigers: Gotta love Braith Anastan ruining another club. The Tigers will have to go into a rebuilding phase now that the team they fielded in 2010 has been decimated. Season 2013 is long gone for the Tigers.

16Eels: Crap, crap, crap. With Hayne and Sandow on their books they should be better than what they are. Hopefully they can do something next season because this season is well and truly done for them.

    Eels are the danger team.

    They have Stuart.!
He will fire them up, Roy Masters style.

And Sandow is better than a Leyland P-76

Cowboys are playing that bad they can't even get a mention. I'll have a go.

Coach is ordinary. He has as much personality as Darius Boyd in front of a camera and he seems to be lacking in passion or purpose. His team won't follow him and are playing cruddy. A season lost for the cows.

Sandow is the biggest cap thief in the country!
If Parra are serious about building for the future he would have been the first bloke on that list stuart made to either pull your finger out or f__k off.

warriors are becoming the form team....

they will spoil reputations especially the storm this weekend

                  like us they fear none

after watching rabbits last night, they are hitting a flat spot prior to the hardest part of their campaign

                    Hi Max

Do you think South's getting a lovely passage with the match officials is one of their best assets? Or am I imagining it...

The winner will come from Easts, Manly or Melbourne.

But I fancy an Easts-Manly grand final.

Souths have the talent, the size, and the coach to win it ... but as I said a few months ago, I just doubt whether mentally they are up to it. The crushing weight of expectation from their retarded fan base will prove too much for them.

anything can happen. I reckon it's down to 6 teams.
the roosters, rabbitohs, storm and sea eagles are the obvious ones, but as someone else mentioned, the dogs are the dark horses, and the raiders, imo, can beat anyone on their day, but have a terrible away record. the sharks have the roster but not the coach, and the knights are too old to go with it.
