Losing Taka and Mose to sign O'Donnell and Moa at first seemed like a mistake, but it has ultimately paid off. We lacked the experience that Ryles and Conn provided in 2010 that made our pack so strong, and both Moa and O'Donnell have provided this.

Taka and Mose are both great players, don't get me wrong. Rate both of them very highly still, but they just weren't what we needed at that time. As good as they were as long-term prospects, there was no experienced warhorses to guide the younger blokes coming through the ranks. Sacrifice the two with the lowest workrates (Taka/Mose).

I am hoping that losing Tasi to accommodate for Casty will be the right option too.

Well said Mack. I'm sure the clubs signing and retention policy will just keep getting stronger as the years go on!

Like when we almost lost to Parra - I'm not confident this will be easy. We'll have to be switched on or risk getting smashed by some young blokes who are out there to prove a point against #2 on the ladder.

Imagine being in their position... you don't play regular 1st grade and next season (or next match) will most likely get punted. You have nothing to lose by trying to go toe to toe with the origin halves, a bunch of kiwi intenationals and none other than SBW.
