yeah you just beat me to it backwards.

if a player loses the ball after being knocked out, they should retain possession. moreso if they have to leave the field with concussion.
i dont think it shouldve been a penalty, hasson was expecting RTS to zig, but he zagged instead and he just got his head in the wrong position. no intention at all.

however the player ko'ed should retain the ball. they technically werent there when they dropped the ball anway

Maybe Toovey could look at Brett Stewart leading with knees into RTS (and others) after his try. Wanker Stewart does it constantly when he gives up in defence.

Meanwhile, just on that incident, how the **** did they get a scrum for hitting our player in the head? Besides that he clearly lost it backwards.
Along the lines of the same Porkies the players told the club about the ASADA revelations.

Really the ball carrier in either case he's done nothing wrong but is still punished when it's accidental.

Its not the only rule that isn't right of course but that incident highlights an anomaly IMO.

They changed the rule when you pass just after a held call, instead of a penalty or scrum the attacker retains possession. Very similar concept I reckon.

In any case the ball was lost Backwards, Backwards and should have been play on

The rule is dumb IMO. Cos if it was an accidental shoulder or arm to the head it's our penalty. But an accidental head clash is a lost ball.

Same result for the player but different ramifications for possession.

              Dumb rules.

Seriously if someone's KOed and loses the ball in the tackle they surely can't be blamed and their team penalised for it by losing possession.

if it didn't count as a lost ball you'd have players feigning being KOed

IS that a double knock back?

This is true mate, I'm sure I mentioned it a few posts earlier. Your BFF PearceOrf actually kicked the ball out of a womanly players arms as he knocked on after RTS fell asleep and lost the ball backwards.

                    Hmmmm me too.

Surely impossible without some contact to the melon mate???

I know what you're saying but surely the same thing applies now with illegal contact??? Some players feign injury for a penalty. Even JWH requested the Reffs look at an incident in that very game that was changed from a scrum to a penalty.

It's not in a players instinct to lose he ball after accidental contact, such as a headclash, just to keep the ball. We have the Vidiot surely in slowmo it's pretty easy to tell if a player is asleep before he hits the canvas???

                      Dumb rule IMO.

I wonder if Toovey would also believe Lyon if he hold him JWH slapped Watmough in the head...

To be honest I thought the JWH high shot was borderline.

The only reason I was happy with it being a penalty is because if the shoe was on the other foot JWH would have got 6 weeks for it.

I blame Newcastle for kicking Toovey in the head during the 1997 grand final. The man has frontal lobe issues.

I laugh as soon as someone says something that is not pro Roosters, then they are part of the anti rooster brigade. It is funny.

I seem to remember the fox commentators going off big time during their call of the 2010 GF, while Ch9 just towed the line.
The fox heads are so much better on the average than Ch9 and generally give the Roosters their fair share of criticism and praise.

That is except for Tallis, who is just an idiot
