I seem to recall Adrian Morley talking about possible citizenship in order to play SOO, but it never seemed to go anywhere ?

In his book, moz said that he was told if he played SOO, he could no longer play for England, so he dropped the idea.

That's gotta be close to post of the year JC! It's such a farce isn't it? This generation of players get to pledge allegiance to whomever they fancy. Sort of makes a mockery of the word 'origin' doesn't it? Back when the concept began, players were told who they qualified for, not the other way around.

Its a joke. As is the situation of playing for your country. I hate it when these young kiwis nominate for Australia. U should never have a situation where u can think about which country or state you want to play for. It has to be cut and dried.

I am most definately NOT a souffs fan ......but despite sam burgess having the misfortune to play for souffs he is tough I hate souffs like most roosters my most hated player is the turn coat Inglis however if had remained loyal and played for the blues I might sing his praises on origin night like all those NRL commentators I am a loyal rooster but also NSW supporter I believe you play for the state and country you were born or spent most of your life so was just putting the interesting sam burgess scenario out there for comment:
