If you read my posts in this thread you'd realise they (and many others) are actually fans of PearceOrf but see the reality that this will more than likely be his last series at Origin level unless he can own the win for us.

Truly game 3 is his last chance IMO.

He won't play origin again unless he leads us to victory.

I'm not blaming PearceOrf for last night, the were all shite, and QLD were white hot.

I thought the game was a reversal of game one.

But the time is now.

The best players, origin players, stand up and win these pressure games. PearceOrf and Baloney aren't known for doing that.

We know the QLD players can, they do it weekly.

Unless PearceOrf proves to himself he can get the result I believe mentally it will destroy his and our chances.

I don't dislike the bloke but the stage is set, he won't get a better opportunity to prove himself as a true origin player.

I hate to be negative after a great win but dead set, Pearce is taking the piss.

With 7-8 minutes to go we're on their line, up by 12, and he puts in a nothing grubber that goes one metre. Set up for a field goal and we don't have the nerve-wracking finish.

In our last set, on halfway, he can't even get a clearing kick in to seal the game.

I just can't fathom what anyone sees in him. He has no composure or kicking game whatsoever.

Funny, listening to Robbo on MMM after the game tonight he was full of praise for Pearce tonight. He did question his last couple of kicks, but in general was full of praise not just for tonight, but as a player overall. It was obvious that Robbo holds him in very high regard.

Stood up tonight and controlled most of the kicking, let SBW do his thing at 5/8 and no obvious mistakes. Defended Matai and co. pretty well even when RTS went off.
