just wondering if anyone ventured out early tonight to catch TauTau's return, judging by the stats it looked to be a mixed bag, a line break and line break assist and on the negative side he got sent to the sin bin and penalised 3 times.

I caught the last 45 of the match. First touch i saw he set up a line break for his winger with a beautiful flick pass. Didn't send the ball his way nearly as much as they should have imo. Looks dangerous every time he got the ball. Made his line break right before he was sinbinned. Received the ball with a bit of room palmed off two and looked like scoring then the Dogs set half their team on him 5 out. There was fair dinkum 6 blokes in the tackle. He got up to play the ball not realising it was the 6th tackle (handover) and there was a bit of push and shove and out of him and the 6 bulldogs he was tangled up with the ref picked moga to sin bin. I think mainly because he'd been spoken to for being too aggressive i think 5 mins before that. Could have probably backed himself once when he came back on and had a bit of space to the corner but cut back in and try to skip across half the team, still created an overlap but the intended receiver let the pass go and the play broke down. This was with about 3 mins left and the boys were desperate but still looked very dangerous. Defended strongly from what i saw. Knee didn't look to trouble him at all and he looked confident with it from a distance.

thanks for your thoughts Yak, interesting he was warned for being too aggressive, sounds like Robbo has been in his ear over the offseason to take advantage of his powerful frame, if he can string a few games together he could provide crucial cover for our two heart attack outside backs in SKD/Tupou.

NYC sin binning a of Tau Tau Moga was a joke - somebody sack the idiot in charge David Smith ( this a case where the CEO needs some knowledge of the game) before his knee jerk actions ruin a big game.
The same sort of problem played out at the close of West Tigers vs Canberra NYC tonight when three were sinned binned and one sent off with a west player sent off after holding back from punching initially got clobbered as the Canberra player decided to unload punches whilst everyone was locked in an AFL style all in grapple. The ref could barely work out what to do with who he had in front of him.
The game had rules to cover this adequately identify the perpetrator and those that retaliate and anyone who had a run a distance and sin bin them. The game had generally dealt with this well up until now and after the Gallen episode the first move would have been to review the striking gradings and penalties if they though it was a problem.
