If he plays like that every week he'd be a champion, He's got tons of ability but gees he's lazy.

He's been very good all season, in the last few weeks he's definitely turned it up a notch though in the absence of JWH & is leading the pack well.

If we re-sign him, the exact same people will be calling for his head once he goes back to mediocre.

Ability has never been his problem.

                  Is it coaching mate???

All the old names in the team have improved this year.

A lot of them were kids under pRicky, debuted under dOpes/Freddy and had a good season under Smiffy but generally have never had any stability and structure and competition for spots like now.

I'm really impressed with Robbo after tonight. That's a massive test passed IMO.

It's not the coaching Stacey, he did the exact same thing under Smiff a few years back. It's the money that motivates him, not the game. It's no coincidence that he put in a barnstormer tonight whilst teams are looking at him closely.

Weekly contracts might keep him hungry

Yeah mate it's seemed that way with him I agree but he's not alone, it's been common among the squad for most of the last 8-9 years, every man for themselves. Form swings especially around contract times been rampant.

What I guess I don't want to do is lose a player that has finally clicked. I know it's too early to tell with him especially but I'd hate to get burned.

Anyways time will tell which way him and the club go.

I think FPN has played well this year even though his stats aren't outstanding, which while I am at it people at times put too much emphasis on stats and they don't know how to use/look at stats objectively. But I thought he was buying into the team and Robbo.

But from what I have seen it is blatant that he is playing with more intensity. Why isn't this reproduced week in week out? Maturity? Respect? Laziness? Desire? The whole contract renewal thing?

Tough, tough call on his future for sure.
