So, did he not play for Parra last Sat, due to his 3pm rugby committments? or did he get a helicopter to Ronson Field!

He wants to represent Australia next year at the Commonwealth Games but that would likely mean him missing just a couple of weeks of footy. He is contracted with us till the end of next year but I know he's keen to stay. I'm sure we'll hang on to him. Steve Gillis has just taken over as his manager.

Newman, do you know if Tago is injured again, I noticed young Braden Uele has been named to make his debut in NYC this weekend, I think he is another one of POS NZ recruits.

Newington are crap across all grades except 1st - they recruit well for the 1st team

Mate you are going to have to post elsewhere, this site is only for rumour, gossip & innuendo not quality factual information.

Yes, has a knee problem but his form has also been disappointing.

I can't believe that - friggin outrage if you ask me.

How could they deny him an oportunity like that for a game of Union of all things...f**k me...

Pity the kid (and family) who supported him when he busted his guts, probably getting belted by Joeys and Riverview in the 12A's to 15A's then some 'scholarship' kid comes and pushes him to the 2nds when he's due his 5mins of fame.

I heard that some guy in Newington 1sts was put on a music scholarship because they reached their sporting limit. He has to get a few triangle lessons a week. But they're 1sts are bloody huge compared to Riverview, we got belted a few weeks ago. But your right beyond 1sts Rugby and Football they have very little. I didn't know this Milne guy was contracted to the Roosters, he was carving us up a few weeks ago.

Hard to get over those sorts of injuries both physically and mentally.
Agree with you on SKD, Robbo is showing a lot of patience with him.
If we had someone capable of taking over I think the change would have come.
He has been in full training for a few months now.

The fact that he has been picked in any grade suggests that he is fit enough.

Hopefully he gets a few good early touches and his confidence builds quickly.

I've heard they have done plenty of work on his defence which is a good thing.

If he shows that this part of his game has improved then he could be handy later in the season.

This brings back memories of what he can do in attack. His defence really cant be as bad as SKD's. Hopefully by Round 20 he might get a run in firsts

^ people seem to forget that he was our second leading try scorer last year, only playing half a season, when they call him a dud.

Not really surprising that he has been in full training for so long without playing. Robbo would have identified his defence as a weakness and made sure that was fixed before he took the field. He's always has reasonable technique in defence, and is certainly quick enough and strong enough but he struggled reading the play at times. I truly believe being outside Anasta who was so slow in defence last year didn't help one bit. I'm confident his attitude has improved massively with the change of coaches too. Even if he only gets his defence up to SKD's 2013 ability (which would be bare minimum) he would offer so much more in attack outside SBW. What are defences going to do well they've got SBW running full pelt next to Moga and Tuivasa-Sheck. Something has to give there.

The fact he's playing on the right side is significant imo. If Moga plays well for 20s and continues to attack and defend well for Newtown I think he could certainly come into first grade around or even just before round 20. That is realistic when you consider e has been at full fitness for about 8 weeks now. If Robbo also bites the bullet on shifting Mini to the wing and RTS to fullback then this side will be electric coming into the finals. Will also be interesting to see if Robbo continues to play SBW in the roving lock role. He was so dynamic last week and if we execute better in attack we win regardless of the two tries against the run of play. Aubusson on the left, Cordner on the right running with and off SBW seems like a pretty good way to play things. Shame about the second tier salary cap issue because I think Kane Evans could have brought another dimension to this team. Watching him over the last month his defence has improved and he has dominated every opponent with his running, much more than he was at the start of the season.

A team like this come finals time would be the biggest threat to the title. But its probably more a reflection of what we'll see next year.

                                Yup - great side.

I much prefer Cordner as a left-edge back rower and SBW as a roving lock with FPN his replacement at the right times.
