So, if the NRL doesn't help Blake Ferguson and save him from himself after he's served any court imposed sentence, where does he go then in a drunken haze...back to the DOCS home?

As opposed to those who attack women? What do you classify those as then?
Anyone with a criminal record is a criminal.
If Ferguson is convicted, he'll likely be put on the sex offenders register...and will be unlikey to find other employment.
He'll be unlikely to get a visa to enter the USA, or most other nations.
No Vegas holiday for him.
USA is overrated anyway...seen one bar, casino, fancy hotel with water spouts, you've seen them all.
The car-wrecking sign tosser will also have a criminal record, mugshot in the book and fingerprints on file, probably.
He's staying.
Wow - a strange thread filled with straw men arguments.
I agree that there's a wide ranging series of offenses under the banner of 'sexual offense' (or whatever), and it would be wrong to lump them all in. That said, presuming you can put your hands on another person is unacceptable regardless of whether you're an 80 year old woman or a 100kg+ footballer.
Ferguson is at best an utter eejit and at worst something entirely dangerous. The mind truly does boggle with blokes like him and Carney pissing-up their opportunities when so many others are doing it tough.
I also would like to add my voice to the 'drink-driving-is-utterly-unacceptable-and-drink-drivers-should-be-made-pariahs' camp. F@cking scum.
Oh yeah, and has there ever been a handle conceived-of in such utter irony as has The Brain's?

Presuming is unacceptable...and the law is the law..."all roads lead to lawyers".
"Assumption is the mother of all f-ups" - in a movie.
When alcohol flows like water, trouble usually follows.
It used to be the culture that;
"What happens at the Christmas party/niteclub/pool party/birthday party/any party /on the field stays there".
Our society has moved on from that...as many [mostly young people] are now finding out, much to their horror.
There was a time, and I can attest personally to this, that if you were involved in the sale of "normal" pornography in a store then you were in danger of being put on the sexual offenders list.
Before it became "legit", it was a sexual offence.
He wasn't carried out.
He wasn't drunk.
He wasn't kicked out the door literally.
He was just asked to leave...he made a mistake...he went around behind the bar and asked for a drink...an area off limits to patrons.
Birthday party, maybe he thought everyone there were mates.
Not so.
No one is you mate except your close mates who would 'take a bullet for you".
He left [with a bottle of water in his hand]...under protest to the establishment by people he was with.
Now he's being lumped in with Ferguson, Tamou, and Burgess etc.
