  • We miss JWH badly!

2/4 without the big man... we look nowhere near as 'good' without him.

Can't wait for the big fella to get back from his suspension!

No one sent off before or after him.

      More hate?

If he gets suspended again he might find himself up for sale as well as some others.
Can't afford to be paying people to only play half a season.

He must modify his tackling style and not be so 'aggressive'.
He tackled Rose high and was penalised.
Then he did it again! worse!

      Ridiculous play.

shades of morleyt? if i wasnt reasonably intelligent id think there was a concerted effort to ensure easts are continually dudded and precluded from the big time? a conspiracy in fact?

I think our forwards were terrific yesterday.

          Pearce and Co were terrible.

Whats his loading for next offence this one was 150%, I think something really needs to be done about this loading system as it's something out of a monty python movie ,Jared isn't a dirty player or cheap shot artist he is a aggressive go forward player that doesn't take a backward step, it certainly didn't deserve 5 weeks. It would be a pity if we had to let him go due to the amount of his loading increasing and carrying over to a point where one mistake is half a season.

I believe Jared is the heart and soul of our team however our forwards were nothing short of fantastic last night. As I have stated in another discussion some much maligned players were brilliant but receive zero recognition. A quick peep at the statistics show that our halves let us down very badly last night.

Sonny-Bill Williams: 151 metres gained, 2 line breaks, 3 offloads, 28 tackles, 1 missed tackle
                Frank-Paul Nu'uausala: 150 metres gained, 1 offload, 23 tackles, 1 missed tackle
Martin Kennedy: 140metres gained, 24 tackles, 0 missed tackle
Sam Moa: 112 metres gained, 1 line break, 1 offload, 12 tackles, 1 missed tackle, 1 try assist
                Luke O'Donnell: 107 metres gained, 1 offload, 33 tackles, 1 missed tackle
Boyd Cordner: 42 metres gained, 38 tackles, 2 missed tackles

As you can see Frank-Paul Nu'uauasala and Martin Kennedy had very strong games as did the rest of our tight forwards meaning that Jared's absence was not a key factor in our loss. Our team managed 1,628 metres against a very big Auckland forward and provided the halves with the necessary platform to deliver points and they did not play to expectation.

The two Auckland tries in the second half were a direct result from a poor last tackle option (Mitchell Pearce) and yet again poor execution in a kick (James Maloney) that ultimately cost us the game.

                  6a. Prior similar offences
If the player has been convicted of the same or similar offence in the two-year period immediately preceding the incident, the player is liable to an increase equivalent to 50 per cent of the base penalty for each previous offence. The exception to this rule is Grade 1 offences where the player will only carry the loading for a 12-month period.

Got this from the NRL judicary page, so if i am reading this right the 150% was for 3 offences in a two year period and if it happened again whist the first offence was still within the 2 year period his loading would be 200%, Gawd damned.

                    Yep agreed.

We were like a well tuned car without a clutch.

                    The clutch play.

Most teams have an attacking FB who is able to step up and make plays these days, when the 1/2s don't/can't.

Blaming the forwards for last night is the human factor on these forums. MK went well again I see.

                      Spot on.

On JWH, I think the 2 parts of JWH's game that we miss the most are (1) his leadership and (2) his second phase play.

He looks to be such a confident guy and this rubs off on the rest of the team. In the last couple of games, there has been panic where the previously calm.

JWH was also offloading a lot when in traffic. This was giving blokes like SBW, Pearce, Maloney and Jennings broken play in which to attack rather than running at a set defence.

                        We certainly miss big jazza.

We need SBW to be our strike weapon, looking for linebreaks and not our yard maker. Those stats flatter the Skirt. Even mini had more meaningful runs in the middle third of the field last night. When mk was on the field we looked sh1t. FPN should be on match payments from now on.

Our go forward was not our major concern. There were plenty of opportunities created last night. There are at least 3 trys I can think of that were butchered last night. The warriors last two trys came from nothing. I reckon robbo will be emphasizing that from now on we should have someone back to clean up if an attacking kick goes wrong. Maybe Mini.
                        Comment of the year:
