I hope he goes out and proves everyone wrong next week, but i have my doubts.Originally posted by turk-283Kurt 79 - Kags 0..

Well I agree with the kick in some ways but it did work against Manly. I blame more the fact that there was no clear direction in that last play. It was a desperate play from lack of imagination from the halves to get to that stage of the game. That's the problem with having players looking after themselves for origin, well in our team. That wouldn't happen at the Storm.

Its not funny anymore
skids will play this week and then when we have the full team back then maybe trent will try a few different things.skids dropped the ball and was denied a definite try(dumbassed), and the kick he tried to put thru was a joke. should of been passed to rts. but if pearce had of put in a propper kick or a half decent pass it would of been a different out come1911 1912 1913 1923 1935 1936 1937 1940 1945 1974 1975 2002 2013 2018 2019 2020

The fact is SKD has forgotten how to play as a CENTRE
He's not backing himself close to the line, for example put Will Chambers into his shoes, there's no way Chambers would consider the grubber, he would put his head down, tuck the ball safely under his arms & dive....pretty simple
SKD has over complicated a simple process & has lost his mojo...
Maybe he needs to rediscover this with Newtown"Qui audet adipiscitur"

You cannot blame SKD for the last try. Pearce sandbagged him into taking a low percentage play. He did exactly what any other player would do. The ball sat up nicely for Manu.
Also, note that Pearce gives up chasing Manu after 10 metres. I have no doubt that he would of reeled him in, given he is one of our fastest players over 100, while Manu is quite slow for a winger. FFS Cordner and FPN put in the effort.
It's actually funny how the winners on the night compare to the losers.
Jennings scoops up a loose ball and races away- while Johnson reels him in through sheer effort. Manu does the same thing and Jnr lets him run. That's the difference between a winning at all cost mentality and a losing one.

I also would've expected one of our backs from the other side to be watching and reading the play and come across in cover, but there was zip.

How can Pearce amaze Jennings given that he played for so long with Walsh ?? Gives you an indication of the level of that brainsnap.

Pearce was on the inside.
