Hi axe - not a bad idea at least he gets more ball yet I like the Nafe friend Mortimer combo - too. Speed with both options

You can have 1000/1 Ben Jones - our people are not that stupid.

I think RTS is a natural 5/8 and I think he would kill it in that position. When he played fullback in under 20's he pretty much played as a second 5/8. He has a terrific passing and kicking game, something we haven't seen in first grade yet.

Playing RTS at 5/8 would be a huge risk, there's a big difference between making a handful of tackles on the wing and having to make 20+ tackles on 2nd rowers. Especially with potentially Tony Williams & Pritchard running at you.

First and foremost I think he'd struggle with the fatigue which would obviously have a big effect on his attack.

Personally I don't think playing SBW there is that ridiculous of an idea. Mortimer & Friend would have to do all the game managing but SBW is going to be our go to bloke anyway for points so he may as well be in a position where he has a roaming role getting his hands on the ball as much as possible.

He is contracted to newtown...not us and we probably dont have his 50$ asking price to spare in our salary cap

It wont be RTS - its too big of a risk. I didnt know he had a kicking game tbh but that is a massive plus when he ends up our long term fullback

What this highlights is the farce of having the premier competition diluted by rep matches.

What other professional competition around the world is affected by rep matches?

I'm not sure what the best solution is but it needs to be fixed ASAP.

I've seen Cordner play five-eighth in schoolboy footy.

Can't imagine it happening at this level, though.
