    Well it didnt totally degenerate into the usual mindless rubbish we are good at.

    I am over Origin.....but for some reason I will be watching it again. Last year I was in Canada for the last Origin match and couldn't stream the game live for the life of me cos I am technology challenged....I think I was listening to the Canadian national anthem at the time the Australian one would have been sung before the SOO 3 2012.

      Australia's anthem isn't as bad as Japan's "kimigayo"...

      Although it's a constitutional monarchy they have a short anthem that is repeated multiple times. It basically says:

      "May he reign for a long time... until the pebbles grow into boulders, lush with moss."

      And you just keep repeating it over and over. A relic from WWII that many natives find extremely offensive and refuse to sing because they don't feel that a bloodline that led them to war during WWII should be celebrated as the 1 line of their anthem.

      Agreed ours is rubbish (and should be waltzing matilda or something like that) but... it could be a LOOOOOOT worse.
