Can anyone tell me why the Driver Avenue car park was closed tonight?

With a 20k crowd, the overflow into the Fox entertainment precinct was massive! The net result was traffic delays all the way down Anzac Pde due to the slow rate of cars getting into the car park, and me and many others being 20min late for the match.

WTF? Did they think this would be a 7k crowd?

Probably because of the wet weather and possible damage to the ground... Anzac parade was horrendous

It wasn't closed mate, it was full.

Try parking in Surry Hills and walking next time, or catch public transport.

The part about the car park being full is partly true. The small car park that you enter from the Moore Park end was full. The much larger car park that you enter from the Lang Road end was not open. It may well have been to fears from cars damaging the surface though, as stated earlier, I didn't think of that.

Thanks for the tip about parking in Surry Hills, but in my experience that can yield questionable results. I'll be catching the train in from now on. Over the last few years the traffic issues around Moore Park have gotten steadily worse, guess this is the final straw for me

Parking at the Sydney Boys/Girls High Schools is great. Support the schools instead of the evil empire.

time permitting i now try to train club, bourbon bus game trick although getting onto the bas back to the cliub can be a challenge , but its not to far to walk from paddo to the junction? then its bourbon, chat, cheer run for the train at 11 pm, makes for a big day but well worth it, instead of money spent on parking i divert it to bourbons at easts for $5.40 each much cheaper than$8 for half strength at the game!

Pure gold, is the entrance still on Cleveland eastbound?

Dont be scared Bondi. There are 5000 other people walking the same way, plus the street lights are on.

Embrace the Hills mate, don't be scared of it.

If you think Surry Hills is rough, you must live in Vaucluse or somewhere.
