  • Roosters vs Storm Match Day Thread

What a start to the season it has been. After stalling at the line, weve only had one hiccup on a near perfect start to the season. Now we come up against the reigning premiers, to win this game would be magical, but im not getting my hopes up just yet.
For those coming to the game, bring your singing voices, as (with a little help from yours truly) Mario is going to crack out 'I Just Can't Get Enough'. Go to the 'New Chants' thread, find the lyrics and get ready to sing.
However, there is no doubt over the importance of this game, if we win, we go 3 points clear of the team below us on the ladder, and pending on other results, we could be 1st on Tuesday morning.
Going into the bye next week adds that extra dimension. Tonights game has essentially become a 4-point game, but we'll only get all 4 points if we win tonight, which means our big men need to muscle up, our backs need to get early ball, and we need to shut down their big 3 as a whole.
    In Trent we trust.
Expect a big game from Pearce and Friend.

    Go Easts!

We'll have to go around them to win. They're vulnerable out wide.

The sun is shining in our beautiful eastern suburbs. No threat of a Storm warning at all....

Yes.. but they are leaking some easy meters in the middle...

Cam smith has had to make alot of tackles to cover up for his forwards...

          That being said ...

There wingers seem to get caught out of position alot

Watch for SBW/Pearce/Maloney to exploit that.

Give jennings early ball... let him burn his opposite centre for speed and strength ...

Apparently Fonua is in doubt, their chances will definitely improve if he is out. Worst winger in the comp!

Who will they replace him with? Duffie is gone for the season.

Finchy to 6, Widdop to centre?
Bring back Finchy, the chookpen misses him

Slade Griffin is in for Fonua, he's a centre and a fairly small guy - should be interesting to see how they line-up.

We really should be winning tonight.

Finchy is back ???? Now I definitely want to get off work early today.

Where's that finchy bike helmet I invented.
