We arent even halfway through the season and it looks like there are only a few teams that are chances of going the whole way. At the moment I think the only ones in contention are;

- Storm
- Souths
- Manly
- Roosters

Possible bolter: Bulldogs

I cant remember a season where there are so little teams in the mix!

I agree they are going well. But I personally think they are too old to play well at finals time and compete against teams like Melb, Manly & Souths and win.

It does seem that way at the moment But there is still a long way to go

Early days. Injuries usually play a major part and some teams peak early and fade away and some come good at the end.

2012
After 10 rounds last year Canterbury were coming 7th. They ended up minor premiers and made it through to the grand final.
Brisbane were coming 2nd and finished 8th.

2010
After 10 rounds Easts were coming 7th. We finished 6th and made it through to the Grand Final.

2009
After 10 rounds Eels were coming 12th. They finished 8th and made it through to the Grand Final.

Agree that the four teams mentioned look to be the best hopes but I would throw in the Raiders and the Sharks if ASADA sit on their hands until next year. The dogs had a crap pre-season and they too have a great roster and can come home hard.

Its about potential. Canterbury are playing ordinary at the present time but are capable of competing with the top teams. If their top players start performing then they will be dangerous around finals time.

Knights may be up there but they don't have the roster to go the whole way. If Knights win the GF I will do a nudie run at the 80th min of the GF.

Anything can happen once we get to the finals. Raiders on their day can beat anyone amd even the Sharks are starting to show some of the form their 1-17 should be showing.

People have to remember when it comes to semis Melba, WoManly, Souffs, The Boggs, Poocastle, Scumnulla even The Faiders have more recent experience in their ranks than we do. And coaches with experience too.

Souths, us, Manly and Melbourne are a cut above at the moment but if they make the finals Newcastle, the Bulldogs, Cronulla and the Raiders (which I expect will be the top 8) could all go on a run. Anything can happen.

I agree with what youre saying, we should be the bolter, but DarkEnd we have arrived earlier than expected.

They all are looking now.

Pressures on.

And good get it over and done with early so we don't freeze under the spotlights come semis. Which can happen to sides especially those with a lot of youth like us.

I reckon we are playing too well to be called the bolters now.
