  • Origin will destroy Pearce

its pretty unlikely NSW will beat a team with cronk, slater, smith, thurston, inglis, hodges, scott, etc...and pearce being 1 of a small handful of certainties for the blues, there will be so much pressure on him. Im sure its clear to all that reynolds is a better player, i fear that when nsw lose pearce's confidence will be shattered. He will cop most of the criticism and for this reason i hope maloney dosnt get picked. Origin is farrked!!!!!

Whether Reynolds is better than Pearce is debatable as Mickey Mouse would go well behind South's pack add Inglis into the mix and alot of the work is done. In saying that I am not saying Pearce is a great player but he has been there before and if the selectors pick Maloney atleast they will understand each others game which is an advantage.
Seriously the first game hasn't even been played and you have written off NSW already.

Don't be so sure AP, QLD aren't over the line just yet, NSW are due! Those names you mentioned, quite a few of them are not traveling along in career best form. There are two games in Sydney, that is a significant factor. On the other side of the coin to what you have mentioned, if NSW win the series it could be the making of Pearce.
The year 2013 marks the beginning of the Roosters next 'decade of excellence', and it will prove to be more successful than the last!

      Here's looking at you, kid.

Well that could be the way it goes down, then again the Blues could win the series from a long ball from Pearce to Hayne who scores in the corner in game 3 with Jimmy top scorer of the series, yeah that'd be the better way it could go down!

Every kingdom must end. Perhaps it's this year for the Maroons.

No more pressure on him this year than last and his form in the back half of last year was very good. He was consistently one our standout players.

It's possible NSW will get over the line. I have always felt that once Lockyer & Petro retired they were very beatable as their heart came form those two in particular.

If NSW don't win, I think it will destroy Pearce's confidence. He will come back to the chookies, tail between legs, play poorly for 6 games......then get shifted to his correct position at hooker......where he will be hailed as the next (but better) Robbie Farah.

We had standout players in the second half of last year? We totally sucked.

True mate, but that would be putting too much of a positive spin on things for all the manic depressives around here.

Team & Individual performances can be exclusive.

Much like Woods has been the stand out forward of the comp this season imo yet the Tigers have without a shadow of a doubt been the worst team this season.

I disagree. With 2 games at home NSW should win the series. And coming back to a successful team I am sure will keep Mitchell very motivated.

Big game exerience helps players develop so origin can only be good for our players unless they cop a major injury.

He is definitely a better kicker but that is about it. Junior is far superior in every other aspect imo

What's to destroy? The guy is average at best and is being made to look better this year because we have a crack team.

How many repeat sets has he forced this year in 10 rounds? Wouldn't be more than 5.

Daley for some bizarre reason backed himself into a corner by giving Pearce an undeserved free ride into the No.7 weeks ago. Reynolds shits all over him.
