        Exactly Jack.
I have been one of minis biggest critics but he has been playing well and still the best player under the high ball in the comp.

Would shrek make us better if he were at fullback? Maybe or probably. If we were playing crap there is a big chance shrek is fullback now. While ever our season is going well and mini is doing an adequate job, he will be fullback.

RTS is likely training at fullback as well as wing. If I had a guess I would say Robbo is building his confidence and experience.

The team has learnt and is learning new structures, learning to trust each other, keeping mini there as the team continues to develop is the safest option.

By season end I think we'll see mini and RTS swapping throughout a game. Mini in defence, RTS in some attach and some kick returns.

Unless our hand is forced through injury or performance by mini, then I don't think there is anything RTS can do to claim the no.1 jersey this year.

Its his next season. We'll just have to wait till then.

Just consider for a moment though....those that would have Mini not in the squad at all..

A back three of Sheck, Tupou and say Moga.

Dripping with talent but very little experience at this point in time.

Mini at least provides that balance and experience. Many underrate this...Robbo dosen't.

I suppose the biggest dilemma is that all the noises I'm hearing sound like Mini is really angling for another year's signing on. He is playing pretty well, but he's not the Mini of old, too good to put out to pasture, not good enough to keep Sheck out, hmmmmmmm glad I'm not handling the negotiations!
Has he ever played centre, I know his passing is not his greatest talent & it would waste his greatest talent, not being at the back under the high ball, nah I'm grasping at straws!
No, alright now I'm decided, Robbo or Fitzy needs to talk to him about playing 2014 on the wing, I wouldn't even mind him keeping the (c) next to his name, there are plenty of other leaders up front & in the middle with Jared & Mitch P there, OK problem solved, good on ya Mini!!

RTS is doing OK and Mini shows him how to do it for when the time comes. Why change something ain't broken? The defense is the best I've seen in years and probably decades. About time we as fans congratulated the effort rather than go on and on about it.

I want Mini to be like Brett Mullins tried to be with Todd Byrne. A mentor, getting him to run the right lines and learning the proper defensive techniques. Mini is the captain and our fullback for a reason, he was the best at what he did for a long time. I think Roger can be the same.

A good middle ground is to allow RTS to attack from fullback and defend on the wing - allow mini and RTS to share the fullback role in attack and defence so we get the best of both worlds. I agree though with those who say that there is still a place for mini. His leadership and experience and stability from the back is extremely important to our team.

I am interested to here an explanation On how such a switch of Mini fullback in defence and RTS in attack should take place

It really isnt as easy of when we get the ball Mini charging over to the wing and Sheck positioning himself as an attacking fullback and vice versa Mini chargins back to fullback to defend with RTS doing the same ove to the wing to defend

It took Mini a few years to switch to FB too. I think after Luke Phillips retired which would mean 3 seasons on the wing. We all know that RTS is an attacking weapon but he is still learning the game of rugby league and the experience on the wing will allow him to learn his positioning from Mini as well as become confident under the high ball. I am happy to wait until 2014 to see him at FB.

Mini started on the wing with Philips the mentor at fullback
the following five years was nirvana as Mini became the premier fullback

Same will be the case.... over the coming years with changing of the guard

But not now....Mini is a rock
