After calming down, I've seen the tackle again. I love him as a player and I love his aggression but JWH should take the 5 weeks and be thankfully he didn't get treated like Danny Williams after he thumped Mark O'Neil.

You're kidding yourself Johnboy, it deserves 2 weeks maximum, and that's only because he jumped into it.

I'm just being honest. He'll cop the five. It'll suck but they want to make an example of him because of the faggot referees (that's pejorative not specific) don't like to have their egos bruised.

I am trying to show the intelligence you ask for and not to carry on - but can you tell me there haven't been dozens of similar tacklers this year who have not been sent off?
I don't recall the Mini tackle. In any case, I'm pretty sure the system has been changed since the mid 2000s.

No there haven't been dozens of tackles like JWH's. If Rose wasn't falling slightly, he gets hit in the neck. Was the tackle worth 7 weeks? No. 5 weeks? No. However, whether we like it or not, JWH has had some problems in the last few years with high shots. The more you infringe, the higher the penalty. JWH is not a cheap shot merchant but it is there to penalise repeat offenders.

If it was Matai for example, I'm sure the penalty would be higher than JWH because he has more offences. Remember that JWH got charged with a grade 1 tackle worth 300 pts (reckless - the middle category). On screen you could see that he knew he was in real trouble before he was sent. Matai got hit with a bottom range careless which has less severity - 75 pts. In fact, many people would say (not on here and not me - he is a grub) that Matai was unlucky to get charged since his arm came off the ball.

My issue is with the Loading system as I can see Jared who isn't a cheap shot merchant just a hard enthusiastic player being forced if he infringes again a few times to go to ESL due to no club wanting to pick him up due to loading issues as it would be too much of a risk picking up a player who could be out for a very extended period if he accidently infringes and gets charged for a careless tackle.

Credit to him for apologising to rose afterwards. Good to see that there's still room for blokes like Rose in NRL. Makes Piggy look like Kate Moss.
