  • Last Roosters Rabbitohs finals match?

When was the last Roosters Rabbitohs finals match. Benn watching the roosters since around 1980 and I can't recall one.

    Anyone?

Don't know but if there is one this year or even a GF I will need to watch it from a padded cell! Every bullshit penalty to Souffs would have me inventing some new words.

They did say in commentary it's the first time since 1968 the Roosters and Souths have been in the top two at the same time. Maybe it happened some time around then?

One thing that bothered me is what the **** is a die hard Roosters supporter in James Packer doing sponsoring Souths as of next year? disspointing that one

          1931: 7 - 12
          1928: 5 - 26
          1926: 5 - 21
          1923: 15 - 12
          1911: 23 - 10
          1908: 12 - 14

He's been spending plenty of time with his pal Russell...... guess the movie star allure even tempts billionaires.

Think I read he was up in Crowe's box for the round 1 game ..... but does Packer even still go to Rooster games ?

James is a businessman first than a rugby league/ Rooster supporter. I think I heard that James fell out with Uncle Nick some time ago, so the fact that his dad and mum were Souths supporters and the opportunity to embarrass Star city by taking over their sponsorship was too overwhelming. I don't see the value personally but it's his money and he can piss it up if he wants too.
