If $ouff$ win the comp, we will never ever really know whether they were truly good enough because of the help they are getting.
Just like in 2010 we will never know whether the Dragon's were good enough to make the GF on their own merit let alone win it.

The best possible result for the NRL is for $ouff$ to win the premiership. Not only would ratings go through the roof which means the NRL get to really cash in the most, but it would have the whole "fairytale" bulls**t to it, with the myth of $ouff$ being the so called 'pride of the league and 'when $ouff$ are doing well the game is doing well'. The fact that they haven't won a premiership since the stone age makes it all the more spectacular epic event which is just the perfect result for the NRL when it comes to media coverage, it is a ratings wet dream for them! Can you imagine a Raiders vs Cowboys grand final for example, it would be a ratings disaster for the NRL and the last thing they would ever want. The NRL will pull the strings to ensure something like that never happens.

The NRL are waging a huge war against the AFL in particular, along with soccer and union. The NRL know that $ouff$ rate really well on TV, so it is most definitely in the interests of the NRL to have $ouff$ be successful. Everything always comes down to money. Integrity pffffft what's that compared to money as that is what makes the world go round.

$ouff$ are a very popular team when it comes to betting, and the NRL make loads of money with sponsorship from betting agencies. With $ouff$ being successful it only encourages more betting which is exactly what the NRL want.

rusty 'phone chucker' crowe will do what ever it takes for $ouff$ to win a premiership, using his influence from fame and riches to get favors from people with influence in NRL.

For those on here who are vigorously defending $ouff$ greatness and how they are doing it all entirely of their own accord, how can you possibly explain all the outrageously shocking video ref decisions that cost manly and the cowboys victories against them?? I truly would love to know!

f*ck im getting sick of this. Souths are a well drilled team, who have finally picked up a half decent coach for the first time I can remember. They have recruited the right guys, and like someone said on another thread, madge seems to have that bellamy affect where he can turn average players into good players by just making them do their job, and do it well.
good teams make their own luck, inglis is a gun, Reynolds is a control freak and the burgess brothers are close to unstoppable. George comes off the bench because he is an impact player. it gets tossed around here a bit. ever heard of it?

The thread was actually started by conspiracy theorists. Not people 'supporting' south's. I don't like them either but I'm not stupid enough to believe refs are deliberately giving them decisions in order to win a comp. And only a mug can't recognise what a good side they have put together.

I've supported the Roosters for 47 years. And just because I'm smart enough to see their ability, doesn't mean I need to go support them.

Well said. Honestly embarrassing the way people go on about refs being bias etc. Especially in relation to 2010 GF where we were beaten by better team/better coach.

Souths are the real deal this year, however, its going to be really funny to watch them and their supporters when they lose the grand final to us...hey I can dream!!

We are also well coached have a few monster forwards esp JWH, SBW is SBW and our backs are the equal if not better than any team in the comp....esp as Mini is not as involved in attack anymore plus his positional play at fullback this has really impressed me....I was a Mini knocker at the beginning of the season.

I think you've misunderstood John. I'm not saying that souffs aren't a good team, but I am just sick of people conitnously mentioning it on a ROOSTERS forum of all places. I am glad to hear that you've been a chook for 47 years.

Who knows if there's a conspiracy going on......what I do know, a dogs fan's text to me at the end of the game read 'the farking bias continually shown towards Souths is sickening'.

So it's not just us who are noticing it.

Yeah, they're a good team....but they continually get 'the rub of the green' and it's like Inglis is a protected species. I just wish they'd collapse in a heap of sh!t to be honest....the longer they're on this run, the worse it will get.
