I have heard from a well placed person at our club that this has happened to AFL Footballers in Victoria from News Limited. How he would know I'm not sure but it did come up in a brief conversation about the unfair treatment our club receives which the club sees the same way as many of our fans do.

Have you noticed that Rothfield has tipped us on the last few occasions,
definately not the norm for him, he hates us, must be sick or someone
had a whisper in his ear, may have been a warning about his continual
spewing of hate at us.

I did not hear it from Brian "Smithy" Smith so it must be a popular opinion at the club that this has happened with AFL players. I do know that some players were unhappy with the content of numerous Daily Telegraph articles in the middle to back end of season 2012 and for that reason Phil "Buzz" Rothfield does not have the stones to walk in to the dressing room. I would like to see him invited in the sheds after we put Cronulla-Sutherland to the sword later in the season.
