  • Do we have to look at getting Tasi in the side if we want to get $ouFF$??..

Tasi has proven that he can score try's & pull off massive hits at NRL level,so is one of my favourites in MK,or even LOD,in danger of losing his bench spot??..

    The daily Tasi thread.

Reserve grade seems to do wonders for your career on here.

I haven't seen Newtown play this year, but they are getting beat by some dud sides, so maybe the forwards aren't aiming up, but at his best, I'd have him at least on the bench in front of Kennedy.

Looks like you haven't been watching much of 1st grade either , Kennedy hasn't set the world on fire, but after a very serious injury has been getting better every week, LOD hasn't impressed much at the moment, but he did miss the whole pre season training so I'd expect him to get better as the year goes on.

To beat Souths, we need to avoid getting a 1-7 penalty count in the first 60 minutes of the game.

LOD was playing in the uk for preseason, no excuses for him showing nothing on the field. Sometimes it feels like players get selected just to justify their pricetag.

              Have to disagree.
He has stated that he is finding it very hard to get back to NRL fitness & sklll level, due to his lack of pre season prep.......but he feels he has lots of improving to come.
I think by finals time he might just surprise a few here.

Hard case forwards are what we will need by season end.
              He's one, imo.

Lets hope so because he is a shadow of his former NRL days

it seems he also has trouble setting his alarm clock for training.

Fitness wise, he is coming off the bench and not being asked to do many minutes, we are 8 rounds in and im sure he had a pre season in england before playing a few SL games and coming to us.

Skill wise, he needs to run the ball up hard without dropping it, this is not something he should have to learn again.

But as long as we keep winning with him in the team then hopefully he will improve.

It took Adrian Morley a full season of NRL to adjust from playing ESL.

You'd have been one of the many who were calling for Morley to go back to England at the end of 2001 ... mind you, you'd have had a few friends. lol.

Give him some time. And don't forget the main reason he was recruited was to add some valuable experience to the pack; you don't know how invaluable his services might be to the youngsters as far as advice goes.

Souths are a good side this year as are Melbourne and Manly - just quietly, so are we. It is clear to me that we were over-hyped for round one, I don't think that game tells us much.

On Tasi, I reckon the jury is still out. He is definitely able to pull out big highlights but so were Mose and Taka. Our defence this year is focussed on structure and intensity, rather than big highlights and we certainly are not lacking attacking strike power in the current side. If we played Souths next week I don't believe that Robbo would be looking to mix the squad up.

I'd rather play Tasi for 10 minutes than watch Mortimer sit on bench for duration of game. So I would consider four forwards on bench against souths and prob bulldogs.

Mortimer doesn't sit on the bench for the duration of the game...

How many minutes did he play against souths?
