  • Finally something positive out of the Telecrap

"A FEW league bits and pieces ...

The Roosters players didn't spend yesterday basking in the glory of their Anzac Day win over the Dragons.

Instead, they were on a scavenger hunt of sorts around the eastern suburbs, such as finding out the location of Dave Brown's tombstone and where Dally Messenger grew up, finishing at Bondi Beach.

That idea belonged to coach Trent Robinson, who is looking good at a nice fat bonus should his team finish in the top four.

Critics are still asking how the club can be brimming with so many quality players. A reminder: they shed 15 players in 15 months, including the likes of Carney, Myles, Anasta, Perrett and Leilua."

Good on him for actually putting this on paper instead of following Rothsh!t.

The more I see of Robinson in interviews and the more I see of him as a person and coach the more I love. The passion he has for the sport is excellent. I think we have found our long term coach.

Add Linnett, Ryles, Graham, Conn and a few others to that list.

He's such a lovely humble centred person too. I was walking through the carpark on Thursday and a few young people were lining up for autographs from Trent, so I joined the queue as well. He signed my cap and was extremely polite. And most definitely has NOT had a brush with the ugly stick as some of you may think..he has charisma..

Yeah its funny i've got mates coming up to me and say how can you be under the cap? instanly they say think of the players we bought not all the players that have left the club!!!! it only comes up when we are playing well.......if we were going ordinary and not winning games it wouldn't get a mention.

And one more thing got to say Paul Kent and Dean Ritchie have been giving us big praise lately Kent on NRL 360 and Ritchie in the Telegrap and i love it when Paul Kent gives it to the Sharks on 360 looks like he doesn't like the club and what's happening there at the moment i hope Rothwit was watching?

I wonder how that little article slipped past the sports editor at large?

Well done Robbo.Dave Brown imo was the greatest player of all time nobody has been able to come even close to beating 2 of his records which still stand today. However Don Bradman is revered as the greatest cricket batsman who ever played the game. But what about Dave Brown some rugby league fans have never even heard of him.The club goes looking for his tombstone? There really should be a lot more recognition by the club of Browns unbelievable feats on a rugby league field imo.He is the greatest player to pull on a boot and he is an easts player.People talk about Slater,Ingless,Gasnier,Churchill i could go on for ever naming them but the reality is that none of them have ever come close to breaking Browns records and nobody ever will.

It was Andrew Webster who wrote the piece not Dean Ritchie.

                        A pleasant surprise though nonetheless!

After about 6 or 7 games in 2010 many were saying similar about Brian "smithy" Smith... and rightly so... plus he is much prettier than robbo...

Gosh yes. I've never asked a coach for an autograph before as it's never been my thing but he really does have this aura about him. Some people just have that calm steady professional attitude which makes people want to listen. I normally get bored by press conferences, even when we win, but I find myself hanging onto every word he speaks.
