  • SBW to stay in the NRL in 2014.

Sonny Bill Williams’ path to the 2015 Rugby World Cup will almost certainly include a second season in the NRL next year, with Chiefs coach Dave Rennie conceding he does not expect the dual-code star to return in 2014.

Williams spent the last two nights with the Chiefs at their Coogee team hotel and delivered a motivational speech to his former teammates head of tonight’s clash against the Waratahs.

But it’s understood that Williams has an agreement to remain at the Roosters next year. He will head back to New Zealand in 2015 as the All Blacks look to defend the William Webb Ellis trophy.

Just as Williams gave his word to Sydney Roosters boss Nick Politis several years ago that he would sign with the club once his five-year ban from the NRL expired, it seems he has given the NZRU his word that he will be back for the 2015 World Cup.

true, this is a bit different, but its been rehashed from an article released a day or two ago where the chiefs coach said he didn't want sonny back. the only different thing is where it says sbw had agreed to stay another year.
but yet again, that comment has no solid proof, just more media crap.

          The Chiefs played last night.
Read the article again and the comments will tell you it was in the lead up to their game...
