  • Rumoured signings from the Herald on Sunday...

It said that with the sacking of Sa, It would free up a fair bit more $'s for a tilt at Tuqiri. But if that failed we would make a hard play for Hayne or Jennings..

Didn't Hayne recently re-sign? Jennings would be a great buy.

Jennings recently re signed, Hayne comes off contract from Parra at the end of 2010.

Hayne would be a sensational buy, he would cost a bomb but if the club wants to become a force again then he's the sort of player they need.

I keep on hearing conflicting reports on Lote. Some say he will get $1m per year in Japan and others say he has agreed to 3 years with us. I hope it's the latter.

Well Tuqiri would be a plus but how good would Hayne look in a red, white and blue jersey?

Tuqiri will fit in well with our backline, he's farking slow enough.

No way in hell Hayne will leave Parra and Jennings is a dead-set long shot.

Phil Graham and Luke Burt would be much better choices.

I remember they said that about Fulton leaving Manly.

I'm starting to see some real merit if we could get these 2 blokes..

Jennings is also free to take up another contract at the end of 2010.

Would Hayne play under B Smith? The way it appeared on the outside was that Smith refused to promote Hayne at the eels. Smith gets the boot and Taylor promotes Hayne to FG. The rest is history

Money talks and that might be enough to sway him our way but who knows

I don't know how true this is, but there has been rumors floating around the traps that we may be in the market for Jason Ryles, he is already homesick. He would fit in with the team ethos perfectly, can't hold onto the ball. He can certainly run harder than any of the nuffies we currently have in our pack though. Brian Smith loves buying ex-dragons, so it may have some merit. The guy who told me is usually on the money.

Can't see Hayne or Jennings making their way over to us.

I just don't know about Burt or Graham. One is tiny and the other is injury prone. But anything is better than Kenny-Dowall.

If Tuqiri lost 10kg and regained his pace I wouldn't mind him

I wouldn't chase either. Burt is absolute garbage, and Graham is getting old now.

                            Good options:

                            Michael Gordon
                            Krisnan Inu

...both are off contract at the end of next year, both can kick goals at around 80%, both can score tries, both have plenty of pace too. Gordon is a bit injury-prone and Inu tends to go into his shell if he is low on confidence, but both should DEFINITELY be considered.

Denan Kemp was released by Warriors, he doesn't have the individual magic of Inu or Gordon but still has loads of pace, and can kick goals too. Kevin Locke is another outstanding goalkicking back with pace and skill, but I imagine that the Warriors wouldn't be willing to give him up so easily. The only other good goalkicking backs out there (I'm not going to put Burt or Covell up there) are John Williams, who we already blew our chance with, and Wes Naiqama, who is pretty average.

                              Gordon would be brilliant
