does any one think kane will play 1st grade this year god i hope so im dying to see how he goes. also dylan napa i wouldnt like too see them go to other clubs if they dont get a go.
I have been informed that neither Kane Evans or Dylan Napa will play first grade this year, because if they do we will then be over the salary cap. So unless someone moves on before June 30 they will play Jets all year.

Evans has already signed for 2014 and Napa for 2014 and 2015 so there is no need too worry.

That makes no sense at all.
If you're suggesting that they're not in the top 25 (which you must be) then you're saying that we've already used up our 250k second tier cap in the first 6 rounds... am I right? Ridiculous assertion.

Scoot, your source/s are incorrect because Napa is on standby for the Saints game should our boys up front get injured this weekend. In fact, the Jets forward pack that runs out this weekend will be different to what's been named.
Talking Point: Wind them up and let them go at it – Not only does this clash look to be the match of the round on paper, but the dual between two young tyros in Kane Evans and Korbin Sims is one that should have the Henson Park faithful licking their lips with salivation. We have little doubt that these two props will continue to do battle over the ensuing decade or so in the NRL, and with Evans now qualified for NSW (he played NSW U20’s last year) and Sims having made it known that he is a Queenslander, there is every chance these two will butt heads in the cauldron that is Origin at some point in the future. Now while Henson Park may not be ANZ Stadium or Suncorp Stadium, we think that there will be a little bit of that Origin type feel to this one and we are certain that these two will continue to search for one another all game long in what should be a stirring encounter come Saturday.
Prediction: Probably the toughest match of the round to tip a winner in but we will stick with the home side. Jets by 2
Kane needs to put on some more weight, somewhat similar to what Marty Kennedy did a few years ago. Then watch him go. He is too lanky to become a great NRL forward. However, does have a big heart and a good endurance.
I think both Kane and Dylan will get a run (off the bench) before the season ends.....as injuries, suspensions may and probably will occur as they do for most clubs.
Kane may even get a short run in the back-row against a weaker team to blood him in slowly (he still has to fill out a bit more) and get used to the pace and get up to speed in what will be required esp in defence at the top grade.

I've often pondered about whether he would be better suited to a fringe running role in first grade. His pace and agility could well be his biggest asset in my view. More to the point it seems to me we have a stack of bash and barge front rowers already. I think he would be a weapon on the fringes.
