  • Pearce out of city v country

Just spoke to a mate who said Pearce won't play city v country? Anyone heard this?

If true the 13-14 days will be welcomed for him and SBW.

I don't see why Mitch needs to play in this game anyway. He's proven himself in the Origin arena. I think City v Country should be for fringe players to give them more experience playing with a different group of guys.

Am sort of with you there. I do not see what city v country does for established origin players. Combinations maybe? Playing within the structure NSW team and Daley will use?

        Totally agree.
        Achieves nothing for established players.

I heard this i think it was the footy show this morning mayyybe. be replaced by reynolds apparently. Sutton is out as well. I would say Pearce has been told he is a definite for Origin as Daley has already stated so there is no point in him playing.

A fleeting conversation so I don't know where he got from.

                      First SBW & now Pearce.

I have a sneaking suspiscion that both will be fit come ANZAC Day.

Hopefully Jennings also gets an "injury".

Fark I hate our boys being in rep games.

I remember when Des was at manly, for a few years he used to always make up excuses why his stars could not play due to fake injuries, I hope Robo does the same, F*** rep footy, does nothing but risks injury for our players

In what way has Mitch proven himself in the Origin arena? most would argue he is yet to justify his spot there..

Injuries are going to happen anyway no matter what level you are playing at.

I know where you're coming from but playing at City/Country/Origin/Test level could make them a better player.

I think playing with better players and at a higher intensity is a good thing when they come back to the NRL.
