How do you know he actually has signed and not just agreed to terms

I agree with backwards. I doubt he'll get a game. They have also picked Perrett, Nightingale, Whare, Hoffman and SKD, all of whom I'd think are in front of him in the selectors minds. So barring injury, I'd say he's in the squad for the experience, but that obviously measns he's been earmarked as a Test player of the near future.
