  • The Fix is in????

According to the Herald today, betting was suspended on our game yesterday due to a plunge on North Qld 13+.

We are leading 10 at halftime and only down by 2 with 15 to go.

    We get beat by 16?

Probable cause IMHO. Someone may have a look at that.

Hands up anyone who would actually be surprised if something came of this? Given everything this year I would not fall off my chair.

Yeah it was very suspicious how 80k within a few hours went on the Moos by 13+...wasn't just one punter either which made it even more suspicious.

Hmm I was listening to 2GB yesterday and they were speaking to a bookie who said that a flood of money had been on the Cowboys. I think they went from $1.95 - $1.58. The bookie said something about reports that the Roosters were not going to try. Andrew Moore said he didn't think the reports could be true as they would try and send Fitzy and Freddie out on a winning note.

        Well,

Some of the penalties were downright one sided.

O'donnell stayed on the field after nearly crippling Waqa.

Ty Williams batted the ball forward when saving the 40/20.

When Thurston scored his try the referee was running with him. I have seen so many pulled back for theref to assume his position in the line.

However, we lost the game by making 20 errors.

Have you seen 20 softer errors though? 5 in the first half in our own 20 were all shit a 10 year old wouldn't make.....maybe there was a sting on.

Probably the most famous of game throwing episodes ever in any sport. The 1919 "World Series" was fixed by the Chicago White Sox so that the Cincinatti Reds would win.

As for the Roosters throwing the game so that they would lose by more than 13 points, well, nothing would surprise me.

Id be more surprised if there wasn't a plunge on any team playing the Chooks to be honest!

Now this is a betting plunge............

Is our equivalent "Clueless Sean Dowell"?

Has to be too dumb to be in on the sting!

Will look into that jman, Shoeless Joe Jackson was the character that the actor Ray Liotta played in the Kevin Costner movie "Field of Dreams." "If you build it they will come."

In that spirit Roosters, if you play with heart, I will be there time and time again.
