  • What I still don't understand about the Canberra game..

When you compare the players in each team we should've won by 30+ not to mention we were in form and they weren't. We had it all over them all over the park but we still lost?

We have better players in every position. Our backs are way better, are halves are no doubt better than theirs. Our second rowers are way more dangerous. I would say only one or two prop forwards of ours are worse than theirs. Not the mention our defense up the middle was softer than pillows for dummy-half runners.

We've been the worst team regarding consistency from about 2009 till now.

The Raiders are a handy team and always hard to beat at home. Their forward pack is stronger than ours and when you complete 16-16 sets in a half of football you'll be hard to beat.

It's also an 80 min game, no team can afford to switch off,or think they have the game in the bag,the teams are alot closer in ability these days.I always believe 9 times out of 10 the team that want's it the most will win.

Learoyd-lahrs is one of the hardest running props for hit ups in the NRL. I hate to bring up this old chestnut but I will - I watched Kennedy closely during the Raiders match and if he were a car you'd be replacing the brake pads every week. He could be so much more effective with that frame if he put it on the line like Moa and JWH.

I really think your under-valuing the Raiders. Their pack is very strong, and although their are some defensive weaknesses there, Robinson, Williams, McCrone, Croker & Wighton are all talented footballers.

Ask yourself if you'd swap Shillo for FPN, Lehroyd-Lars for Kennedy, Robinson for Mini or Wighton for SKD, then tell me we "had it all over them all over the park".

Raiders havnt missed or been in the finals 2 yrs in a row for afew years now. They started last season with 7 losses and still made the finals, they are the hottest/coldest team in the league for mine, and a trip to bruce from may-august in sub zero temps will test any team.

Their props are easily better than ours.

The 16/16 is the key stat. They were enormous in the second half and we were on the backfoot from the time Mini misjudged that bomb.

                          What they said.

But hey, let's go back to 2nd rowers playing centre just for old times sake after one shamble of a half from the WHOLE TEAM-by whole team I solely mean MK, SKD, Mini, Friend and LOD.

They've got a very good side imo, if anything they continually under perform.

That's 6 in a row for them @ home, historically it's always been a hard place to travel.

I don't think it's as simple as 'we just didn't turn up', that's a weak excuse. The score line flattered us if anything, if they had held the ball better in the first half it would have been quite a convincing loss.

That torpy was impossible to judge in all fairness.

I'm not trying to defend mini becuase he has been under-performing for years, but Not many fullbacks in the game would have taken that bomb cleanly.
