  • Size doesn't matter?

The form of our starting front row trio Moa, Friend and JWH has probably been close to the best in the comp in the first month of football.

A big part of why we have only dropped the one game so far...they are setting a great platform.

They are probably one of the smaller front row combinations going around but still very effective.

The game that we did drop was against one of the largest forward packs in the NRL.

Yes and they had the advantage of a 6 to 1 penalty count after 60 minutes. Too much momentum.

I would've waited til after tonights game before saying that. Of all the teams we have faced in the first 5 rounds, Canberra will probably have the second biggest forward pack behind souths. If our pigs can atleast stay on par with the faiders, then our backs will do the rest.

They had the advantage of a 6 to 1 penalty count because they were dominating us up through the middle and piling on the pressure.

Hayes in a interview post sharks game said " the forwards were embarrassed by last week they were taught a lesson".

And 60% possession , yep a couple of dubious calls, and our back line lacked understanding in defence. Against the broncos they also had around 60%, but robbo seems to have fixed our defence issues, we are very lucky to have such an intuitive coach

They are a lean pack (in a good way... really fit.) Saw them yesterday and was mightily impressed.

Pre-season I watched an interview with Moa where he made it clear he was here to prove something. A really fine catch...

all our big buys have aimed up, the only one I need to discuss is Jennings, and that's because he is trying too hard to impress, and throwing bad passes, at the end of doing something really good. He just needs to recognise he has nothing to prove, play his natural game, and be more selective about that last pass, on the end of one of his runs, is it on, or better to take the tackle, and set for another raid. Iám sure that will come soon, when he is at ease in the team.
