  • Cabberra Game Travelling/Seating

Going down to Canberra game for first time.

Apparently away team seating is in the corner bay... bay 59

Just wondering from supporters in Canberra and those who have made the trip before where is the best place to set ... normally prefer to sit with easts supporters just that the away supporters bay looks like poor seating.

    Thanks in advance

Visiting supporters usually sit behind the northern goalposts but no real bad seat at bruce. Not sure what crowd will be like considering canberra is starting to cool down and the match is on at 630pm on the first day that the clocks go back, so it will basically be a night match. Cant see many coming down from interstate to be honest. At least this is the one match a yr i dont have to leave canberra for!

I'll be there with quite a few workmates and my fiancee.

A lot of the girls from work support other teams but want to come and see SBW play so will be supporting us.

I'm a Canberra man so no stress getting there

The ground at Canberra is a great venue to watch footy from, not really a bad seat there, unfortunately I am working this weekend otherwise I would be making the trip down the Hume.

I hate sitting behind the goal posts. I've got a bunch of tickets in the East grandstand around the half-way mark. There should still be tickets in the area available. The West (Mal Meninga) Stand always sells out first because people don't like looking into the sun, but that won't be an issue this game as sunset is early (5:49) on Sunday.

Isn't Mal Meninga the one that DOES look into the sun? I really want to go but it's a bad time for the kids with school the next day. They both have to attend their cross country carnival the next day and by the time we get home it will be a late bed time for them. Why does it have to be Sunday evening instead of the afternoon!

The Mal looks East, so unless we're playing at 6:30am...

                    Chook.

No worries. I'm getting the two sides of the field mixed up then. The Mal is obviously on the players race side. Show's you how much I know about the stupid faiders even though I've lived in Canberra for nearly 30 years now!

Holly and I are heading down to watch the game with Tones. We always just try and sit as close to halfway as possible. Not interested in have a crap view just so I can sit with a few other roosters. The canberra fans are usually pretty good so never had any issues sitting amongst them.

We better bloody win, or else there will be a few done suicidal drivers to avoid on the Hume coming back to Sydney!

That's me too. I'd rather have a good view. I just brave the faiders fans who generally spend most of their time yelling at the ref and calling us off-side all game.

Yep, that's them exactly. Add to that the constant complaints about our trainer being on the field.
