  • The perfect oppurtunity

Last night would have been the perfect oppurtunity to throw RTS the fullback gig early in that second half IMO.
We were so in control at that stage it would have been good to see his attacking ability.
I was impressed with Robbo's choice of shifting all our backrowers around at various stages of the match too. So many players get pigeon holed into playing a certain corridor. Opposition teams can easily focus on defending one type of player but this will have them constantly changing the way they defend dugong a match.

Yeah 30-0 up things finally starting to gel So lets tinker with the outside backs and swap positions
I respect all our moderators here. Past present and even future. Always have done and always will do a wonderful job.

Even though he has already played a dozen or so games in first grade, last night was the first time he really looked comfortable, happy, smiling ....like he truly belonged out there (guess a few tries will do that). In other words to me he really showed a lot more confidence in being out there with the big boys ...I'd let him build on that confidence before we start moving him.
But he looked every bit a future fullback under the high ball last night !

Why? So Mini could drop that pass from SBW?

LOL, sounds like a Brian Smith strategy.

100% agree Hawkeye. Let the kid build his confidence before throwing him in the deep end.

              Chook.

He was finally getting quality ball on the wing, leave him there. He has plenty of time to go to fullback!

Not going to learn how to play fullback standing on the wing.
If he is going to make a few mistakes learning then better it be when we are 30 in front with 10 to go then in a tight match isn't it?
