What I see is, LOD was bought for his "mongrel" value. I think it was a good thing because it's a hard game for tough bastards. You need someone beside you that can show you how.
Unfortunately, when you buy a mongrel it can sometimes turn & bite you....or anyone/thing that happens to be around. It's in the nature of the beast. Getting him to focus on what he is here for is probably the hardest thing to do. Get it right & he should be good value. Fingers crossed that it happens.

The club has done the right thing, if there has been a breach of rules. It not only tells the new signing where the line in the sand is, it also sends a message to his team mates.
