It was also done to clear more space for 2014. Symonds (who is a good footballer but injury prone)and Cherrington have been injury riddled for most of the past 4 seasons. This was an opportunity to clear some cap space, sign an experienced veteran and have more cap space available in 2014. They may have plans for 2014 to bring someone in or use that money on upgrading current first graders. We have Tasi/Evans/Napa/Bosden/Guerra now available and a guy like Langi who might be in the plans for First Grade in 2014....

I thought last week was his best game in awhile and I'm not a massive fan of his. He looked as though he was putting a lot more effort in his hit ups then normalOriginally posted by Vasco View PostKennedy has been very disappointing. He is certainly willing but as Danish has pointed out he seems to slow as he gets to the defence.
Maybe he is better off getting his confidence back with Newtown.

Newtown lacked a No.6 they needed someone to control & org the team to get them around the park...way way to slow at 'play the ball'. Jack Bosden 1st game at hooker trying to control the ruck didn't work until Sefa Seluini came on & started to lead the way up
front. IMO didn't get enough playing time Houma which was ashame, as they should of rotated the other 3 props equally.

Maubs would be my last choice too just throwing up options. Robbo doesn't really strike me as the type of bloke who messes around with the 17 he names every week. I think he names hia starting 17 with the full intention of the team running out that way obviously baring injury.Originally posted by Cockadoodledoo:289691We need Maubs on the right side of defence to look after SKD. I would not be moving him anywhereOriginally posted by Rooster_6 View PostHe could be thinking about shifting any of Maubs, Guerra or Cordner to lock and play FPN as the fourth prop.

Personally I don't know why there's a small discussion going on here in regards to LOD vs Kennedy. I think both should be in the 17. It's Frank Paul don't give me the ball that needs a rocket shoved up his backside. He's been absolutely pathetic over the last couple of years and whilst stats don't tell a full story, his alone this year look absolutely pathetic compared to both players in question.
He's like the polynesian Anasta when it comes to hitting the ball up. 39 metres vs the wanko's, 55 vs his bro's and 41 vs the vermin. I cannot for the life of me see why there are some people here that feel he's been good this year. For a bloke his size to be running for 40-50 metres per game is pathetic.
Kennedy has been smashed to death on this forum yet he's playing less minutes than FPN and still running for more metres whilst tackling his arse off. Yes yes I get it, he does run like a powderpuff and does have a tendency to stop at the line, but he has a dig. FPN is lazy and has the Kenny Dowell syndrome. He had one good year right before his contract year (under Smith) where he was thrown out wider at lock and was running over blokes left right and center. Now he's been paid and he's, well, he's "sweet as bro". Give me Lod or Kennedy any day over this lazy fool.

Quite a concern when he has only been at the club a couple of games... should be bustin to make the right moves.Originally posted by theticket:289690A concern as I understood we signed him to provide leadership?Originally posted by fletch View Postso we dumped 3 youngsters for LOD who has so far looked off the pace and now can't be bothered to turn up to training on time, this has a Riddell type signing all over it, LOD will probably retire before the end of the season.

Scratch that. Weidler has nothing. The tag line was ugly kings cross confrontation. In reality he said, he had lunch with team, then had a few beers in cross and had a confrontation with a bouncer, apparently. Non issue.Originally posted by Dubai View PostApparently. Kings Cross confrontation as per 9. More to come.
