Not bad for a side who finished last in missed tackles, errors & line breaks last year.

Who knows maybe one day in the future we'll win a couple of penalty counts.

Fantastic in the error count. Completing our sets is obviously one fundamental. Now they just need to limit the stupid penalties they give away.

All those nice stats mean jack diddly squat when your halves fail to create chance on the back of them.

They need to go Left not right

I thought it was pretty smart going right against the worriers because they would of put there best defenders on sbw & jennings side

That doesn't usually happen. Their right side defence (against our left side attack) on Saturday night would probably play on that side of the field on every other week of the year.

We didn't really favour going left or right to be honest, the majority of our play was right up the middle. No doubt the game plan given the weather conditions and despite our great ball control we still failed to dominate field position largely down to the penalties we conceded.

With Maloney playing as a genuine second receiver I expect we'll see some really expansive football in dry conditions. Looking forward to a few day games.

Speaking of SBW and Jennings it will be interesting to see if they keep them on the same side of the field.

I would prefer if we split them up that way we could have a weapon on each side.

Our right side is already pretty strong with Maubs & Skid. It's been our go to side for a while now, I don't think playing Jennings & SBW on the same side will make us too predictable if that's what you're worried about. It'd be nice if we had a fullback who could join in some backline movements to add another dimension to our attack.

The Souths missed tackle rate is alarmingly high for a supposed premiership contender.

                      lol

                      Shhhh don't mention the war.

No doubt the Maubs/SKD combo has worked over the years. I just don't know if it's the right balance having both SBW and Jennings on the same side. Either way it's a nice problem to have, they could be the most dangerous edge in the comp.

Souths / Sharks game was crazy as the number of off loads in traffic would be coach killers normally as they kept the ball alive no matter what the cost.

Don't you think having SBW creating the opportunities for a flyer like Jennings would be a plus? I would also think it would make defending either much harder as opposition defences couldn't work on just shutting one down.

As well drilled as they are I don't see them as a big threat to the premiership, their defence is still very weak (don't forget we broke their line with ease during Round 1 on more than a few occasions). They're a top 4 team but I just can't see them pushing for the premiership until they fix up their defence, same goes for the Cowboys.
