I've been waiting longer than I care to remember for a crack centre like him, and now the wait is well and truly over

He certainly is an excitement machine I jumped off the chair in sheer excitement when he ran on to that SBW ball the other night

In the first match against South Sydney I felt that Michael Jennings was let down by his support play. For whatever reason Anthony Minichiello forced himself between Michael Jennings and Daniel Tupou instead of supporting back on the inside to give options and place doubt in to Greg Inglis' mind but once Anthony Minichiello gets between the centre and his winger the decision is made for Greg Inglis and Michael Jennings is forced in to a rush pass to a player who shouldn't have been there.

Saturday night he could possibly have passed the ball earlier but he did exactly what people wanted him to do in round one and was very unlucky not to score. Absolutely nothing to worry about in this regard.

Yeah agree baw....the thing about the last time he had toops on his right with no one around...a deft little left foot cross kick would have been perfect...but its easy from the couch...split second stuff out there.

As it is he damn near scored anyway.

Of all the great signings we made for 2013, Jennings was the one that excited me the most and after watching his first two games in the tri-colours that excitement was justified.

I cannot wait to watch us play in a couple of months time when all the boys are used to playing together. Very very promising!!!

The bloke is a superstar, all we need is our Halves to run most of our attack on our left edge, instead of going right and stifling every attacking raid.

Keeping Pearce away form the attacking kicks would also help, Maloney kicking the the height of Tupou and SBW would reap huge rewards

mocka [Barry] van hekering was coaching in Port Moresby late 60s and arranged for Easts to come up for an end of season trip and play a game against the Papuan rep sideThat papuan side had some really good players Ron and Dave Gallager who were easts players,Barry bieber,Ted Ellery,Dave Burns all good footballers of sydney first grade standard and a young bloke called Mark Harris who was playing 5/8 for papua that night he had a blinder against easts that night to big to fast they asked him to come to sydney and play for them next season.Which he did and the rest is history.Thats the real story of how Harris came to the club.

Agree 100%
Maloney is the better attacking kicker and Mitch is the better long kicker. It will take time for Pearcy to get use to that after having Braith by his side the majority of his career. When Maloney gets settled I think you will see him commanding the footy more when we are attacking allowing Pearcy to take a back seat and not feel the need to be in every play. Quality not quantity is what he needs to try to achieve imo

He could be a bigger signing than Sonny Bill in the long run.

Class act. To me he looks bigger and stronger than before. I don't think he is as quick as people think over 50 yards but his acceleration, footwork and swerve are second to none.

As others have said he probably should of laid on a few more tries, that will come with a better understanding with his winger. Also when he has broken into the back field there have been some quick players after him. Inglis, Locke and Fisiiahi are no slouches.

The good thing is he is young with his best footy ahead of him. Great signing.

What? After 2 games, where he's looked more threatening than maybe any centre we've had in 30 years, and he "should have laid on a few more tries"
