    Penalty on SBW when he stripped the ball

    Ok so we know that the penalty was not for the strip, but we know the ref called it Off side.

    Now can anyone explain who was actually offside??

    SBW was the 2nd marker, JWH was back the 10 and only came in AFTER the strip.... so who exactly was penalized for being offside??

      The ref penalized SBW for offside,due to not being square at marker,which replays showed he clearly was...

        The referee made something up after he realised there wasn't 2 in the tackle.

                  I think you will find that they will admit they got that one wrong.

                  The thing I find funny about our first two games is that some of the penalties that we are giving away are either too soft to call in first grade and are being called at the wrong time of the game.

                  Funny enough these referees on all the games still don't get a feel for the game. Pearce and JWH were called for penalties in the 70th minute of the game which lead to the try that nearly costs us the game. Now with Pearce's one, they had not being calling that earlier on in the game so why call it now, there is no need for it!!!!

                  Second, the player was going down before JWH hit him, no swinging arm nor contact with the head or chin, neither put on report..... So why call the penalty? Infact, this year already shots like that have been let go.

                  I just feel that there are way too many soft calls in our past two games in which can be frustrating to the players as it is also the timing of the calls as well and if you are letting one team get away with it then you should let both teams get away with it. Allow it to even out cause late in that game there were many times where LOD was being held down alot longer so that he could not get up and play the ball quickly but no call, however Pearce get's pinned in the 72nd minute for it!!

                    they won't admit they got it wrong. they'll sooner come up with something stupid like stripping not in the spirit of the game than to say they made an error
