  • Another promising performance

A lot of positives to take out of tonight I thought.

    - Our Middle third was a lot, lot better. JWH, Moa & FPN were awesome to start the game & LOD, Kennedy & Cordner really grew into the game. LOD showed some really positive signs, 12 runs for 124 metres is very good value off the bench. Our forward pack made an extra 200m in attack this week which is huge.

    - Completion rate was 78% in comparison to 60% last week, another big improvement

    - We still managed to break the Warriors line 6 times

    - The only try we really conceded was the one out of dummy half. The other two were just poor errors from Minichiello and that's a personnel thing more than a team issue.

    - Best of all 2 points on the board, will take a bit of pressure off the boys. No one likes sitting 0-2 to start the season.

The combinations will come with time, there's still some really promising signs from Maloney, Jennings & SBW but the boys are still learning how to play with them and how to play to their strengths and best of all there's quite obviously improvement to come.

We were the much better team tonight even if the scoreboard didn't show it.

LOD was very strong tonight 6.

But I'm sure you will find the usual idiots who will bag the signing.

I thought that tonight was a great response to a poor first showing at home. A mistake from Anthony Minichiello put the team under pressure when we were about to kill them off. We were in complete control until then and created more than enough in attack to deserve the win.

A lot of people are underselling/not recognising the effort to go across there, play the Warriors in their conditions and come away with a win.

I doubted whether he'd actually offer any impact but he really surprised me, he made at least 3-5 metres after hitting the line nearly every time. Our front row depth is starting to look really good with Napa, Tasi & Evans all on the fringes of first grade.

If he keeps it up he'll push FPN for his starting spot at lock.

He is quality mate don't worry about that.

When he is fit he should start. Also did you see Cordner wince in pain? If he needs surgery he should get it done.

I know it will take time but we need to look at our work on the ground and marker play.

                  LOD was very impressive.

Kennedy started strong, he had a great hit on Hurrell that lead to our first or second try after half-time as well.

Mini just kills me, he destroys every back line move and can't bend over for grubbers any more - if Robbo was serious he would be giving RTS some time back there ASAP.

                      Agree with all of that.

Also, when was the last time we beat them over there? It would have been a while ago wouldn't it? Another positive for me.

FPN was "awesome" ??? Really? I mean look, I'll give you the others including the midget Moa, but please give me a good read and elaborate on how FPN was "awesome" early on?
